Founded by music producer Sam Phillips in Memphis, Tennessee in February 1952, Sun Records was the first label to record Elvis Presley, Charlie Rich, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. Prior to that, Sun Records had concentrated mainly on African-American musicians because Phillips loved rhythm and blues, and wanted to bring it to a wider, and more diverse audience. The music of many Sun Records musicians helped lay part of the foundation of late 20th-century rock and roll, and influenced many younger musicians, including the Beatles.

Jerry Lee Lewis, also known by the nickname The Killer, is an American rock and roll and country music singer, songwriter, and pianist. In 1956, at Sun Records studio in Memphis, Tennessee, producer and engineer Jack Clement discovered and recorded Lewis for the Sun label, and he then became a session musician playing piano for Sun artists like Billy Lee Riley and Carl Perkins. As his own career came on the upswing, hits such as “Great Balls of Fire” soon followed, and would become his biggest hit. As an early pioneer of rock and roll music, Lewis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and his pioneering contribution to the genre has been recognized by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. In 2004, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #24 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

The classic baseball tee with raglan 3/4 sleeves and crew neck with contrast trim is an ideal choice for printing. It's made from 52% Airlume combed and ring spun cotton and 48% poly blend, 40 single, 3.6 oz. Care Instructions: Machine wash and tumble dry on low.
